Concert for voice and piano with rare works and new pieces…

A concert for piano and voice at the Hellenic American Union

The Hellenic American College's Bachelor of Music (ΒΜ) Program in cooperation with Hellenic American University (Nashua, NH, USA) and the Hellenic American Union present the American pianist David Johnson, the Belgian pianist Elke Robersscheuten, the soprano Tina Andrikopoulou and the mezzo soprano Eleni Βarkagianni in a concert for voice and piano entitled “Of Music and Shades”.

The event features works by Charles Ives (1874-1954), Samuel Barber (1910-1981), Benjamin Britten (1913-1976), Gian Carlo Menotti (1911-2007) and David Johnson. From Charles Ives,  a pioneer musician of the past century and key representative of Modernism, to the first performance of David Johnson's poems, set to music by him, light and shade unfold their tints in the concert "Of Music and Shades",  on a canvas of music composers ranging from the early 20th century until nowadays.
