A new series of exhibitions in cooperation with the Photography Circle opens with the photo exhibition of Eleftheria Angelaki and Vangelis Tamvakos…
Each exhibition in the series Photographic Pairs will feature the work of two photographers, both members of the Photography Circle, whose paths in life or photography cross. The exhibitions offer a platform for creative dialogue between artists with common concerns, either in photography, in life, or both.
The first exhibition of the series presents photos by colleagues and married couple Eleftheria Angelaki and Vangelis Tamvakos, thus highlighting their co-existence both in life and in artistic creation. Their photos -all black and white- deal with their everyday family environment, primarily their children and friends. Their common subject matter, their joint paths in photography and their personal relationship justify their common points of reference, but a divergence of viewpoints is also obvious as a reflection of their different personalities.
Platon Rivellis, photo critic and founder of the Photography Circle, is curator of the exhibition series.
