The Greek Shadow Theater is a 200-year-old. At the peak of its popularity it had an audience of millions. A unique form of theater, it continues to play a significant role in Greek society and to influence Greek art and culture.

Academics and artists talk about the rich repertoire of the Greek Shadow Theater, its music and songs, the influences it has received from classical forms of performing arts and its adaptability to modern times, and its timeliness, the present and future of this unique folk hero and his friends.
