International artists discuss their work as well as the creative process they follow, their relationship with the audience and their attitude towards social developments in the 21st century. Art21-100 Artists comprises 24 documentaries that will be screened in the Athens School of Fine Arts, CAMP and the Hellenic American Union. 

Season 6 of the documentaries Art21-100 Artists will be screened at the Hellenic American Union Theater. The screenings’ schedule is as follows:

  • November 11: Change featuring artists Ai Weiwei, Catherine Opie and El Anatsui.
  • November 12: Boundaries featuring artists assume vivid astro focus, David Altmejd, Lynda Benglis and Tabaimo
  • November 13: History featuring artists Marina Abramović, Glenn Ligon, and Mary Reid Kelley.
  • November 15: Balance featuring artists Rackstraw Downes, Robert Mangol and Sarah Sze.

The documentaries will be screened in English with English subtitles.

On Friday, November 15, the screenings will conclude with a panel discussion entitled: Even a kid could do it”: Understanding contemporary art. Participants: Maria Konti (artist, art teacher), Kika Kyriakakou (Coordinator of Art21 events), Thanasis Moutsopoulos (Art historian, Professor at the Technical University of Crete), Zafos Xagoraris (artist, Professor of ASFA), Ira Papadopoulou (Director of Cultural Affairs, Hellenic American Union), Giorgos Charvalias (ASFA Dean) and for Art21 via skype, Eve-Laure Moros Ortega. The discussion will be coordinated by artist and journalist, Katerina Zacharopoulou.

The screenings are organized in co-operation with the American non profit organization Art 21
