In the third season of the monthly poetic encounters “Words (can) do it”, the Hellenic American Union presents an event dedicated to Polish poetry.
The poet and translator Dimitris Houliarakis will guide, the audience through Polish poetry by means of his translations. Starting with the originator of modern Polish poetry Jan Kochanowski (1530-1584), moving on to the great romantic poets of the 19th century up to the Nobel Prize winner (1996) Wisława Szymborska (1923-2012).
