Poetic encounters: “Words (can) do it”
In this event two poets of different generations, Michalis Ganas and Theoni Kotini, will read their own poems, old and new, published and unpublished, but also some of their favorite works by other poets. An open discussion with the audience will follow the reading.
Michalis Ganas’ first poetic collection Akathist supper, was published in 1978. Since then he has published seven more poetic collections, a novel and lyrics for songs. The poems he wrote until 2012 have been published in a single collection, Poems 1978-2012. Theoni Kotini has published Micrography (1998) and four other poetry books; her recent poetry collection, entitled As if a garden was published in 2014.
