An event dedicated to Lenia Safiropoulou’s poetry and translations…
Lenia Safiropoulou is a classical singer, poet and translator. Her first poetry collection Paternoster Square was released in 2012 (Polis Editions, Emerging Author Award by Anagnostis magazine, Shortlisted for the State Prize for Literature) and in 2016, her second book Hard to stumble on stones (Patakis Editions) was published.
She has also translated poems by Goethe and Heine (When Your Mind boils and Heart, Patakis Editios, accompanied by a CD with lieder) and the complete Shakespeare’s Sonnets (Gutenberg Editions, 2016).
Along with Lenia Safiropoulou, Orfeas Apergis, Panayotis Ioannidis and Maria Topali will read the original and translated poems.
