Hellenic American University Examinations
The Hellenic American University was founded and authorized as a degree-granting institution in the United States by an Act of the New Hampshire Legislature. Its degree programs are approved, supervised, and evaluated by the New Hampshire Postsecondary Education Commission (NHPEC).
The Hellenic American University Office for Language Assessment and Test Development develops two language tests, the BCCE™ and the ALCE™, which are linked to the Common European framework (CEFR) at the B1 Level and C1 level respectively.
Hellenic American University Certificates
The BCCE™ provides recognized certification that the holder can communicate at a basic level in English. It is ideally suited for adolescents and adults who wish to demonstrate that they can successfully manage essential communicative tasks in the English language but who are not yet ready for an intermediate-level language examination. The BCCE™ is linked to the B1 level of the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) scale.
The ALCE™ provides recognized certification that the holder can communicate at an advanced level in English either in a professional or academic environment. ALCE™ is appropriate for candidates who need certification of advanced-level competency in English for career advancement or to study in an English speaking college or university. The ALCE™ is linked to the C1 level of the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) scale.
