Educational Trip: "University of Wales" Lampeter & London
The Hellenic American Union is organizing a summer educational trip to Wales, United Kingdom, mainly aiming to teach the English language in its natural environment and at the same time familiarize the students with the culture of the country.
University of Wales – Lampeter
Wales is known for its unique natural beauty. Greenery, hills, lakes and castles constitute a magical landscape, characteristic of the region. A division of the University of Wales is located in Lampeter, a small quiet town, 4 hours from London. All University buildings are situated at the center of Lampeter and are connected through a network of pedestrian paths and a small river that runs through the Campus.
English courses in small classes and for all level, taught by specialized English instructors.
Accommodation – Board
Modern halls of residence offer luxurious accommodation in single bedrooms with ensuite bathroom and shower, and numerous communal facilities. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served in the dining hall on a daily basis.
The program concludes with a 3-day educational visit to London, the United Kingdom cosmopolitan capital .
- Visits to some of the numerous sights Museums (British, Natural History), Buckingham Palace, Big Ben, Tower of London, Aquarium.
- Theatrical show, walks around the Thames and the wonderful parks and exploration of the many more opportunities and experiences that this unique city has to offer.
Tours – Sports – Entertainment
Great tours, along with afternoon/evening events (team games, competitions, disco etc). The sports facilities, sports fields and the University indoor gymnasium are ideal for a variety of sporting activities.
During the program (16-26 July 2006), students will be accompanied by a teacher of the Center for Applied Linguistics and Language Studies of the Hellenic American Union.
