Learning about climate change
The EcoFans Juniors participate in a WWF presentation about climate change.
On Saturday, 1 March 2008, the EcoFans Juniors Club welcomed a representative from the World Wildlife Fund (WWF). In the workshop that followed, the aspiring environmentalists learned about climate change and the contributing factors.
All those attending got so much drawn into the workshop, that not even a break was requested! Through a physical exercise, the EcoFans Juniors were made aware of global warming and the effects of climate change. They explored all contributing factors, such as sources of pollution, and learned about simple ways to make a difference. The ancient art of story telling was recruited to raise awareness of the changing nature around us due to climate change. Once again, the EcoFans Juniors managed to baffle everyone with their artistry as they created front pages of hypothetical newspapers in Greek and in English, informing the public on environmental matters.
