The EcoFans adopt the meercat

Oct 17, 2009

Visit of the young ecologists to the Attica Zoological Park where they adopt the meercat.

Despite drizzling rain, the EcoFans Juniors, with the support of EcoFans Seniors, explored Attica Zoological Park in Spata. The young environmentalists were guided through the Park, where they had the chance to visit, among many other animals, the suricata they had adopted. These creatures, however, turned out to be very shy and, despite their stealthy glances, didn’t come out of their burrows. The visit also had an ecological dimension since the EcoFans were informed about the species in the park that are under threat of extinction. They asked to be informed in a future meeting about all endangered species in Greece in order to take action to protect them.
