Jan 23, 2010

The EcoFans met at the new Acropolis Museum and then walked on the ancient path that surrounds the sacred rock.

Acropolis 1

The EcoFans met at the new Acropolis Museum and talked about how the Acropolis fits in with the surrounding area. They also became aware of the Museum’s arguments of in favor of tearing down the two buildings at 17 and 19 Dionisiou Areopagitou St. After that, they started their walk at the south slope, on the ancient path that surrounds the sacred rock. They passed by the east and north slopes and completed their walk at Pikionis path at the Propylaia. During their walk the EcoFans and their parents were informed about the history of the monuments and their relationship with the surrounding area. The EcoFans didn’t miss the opportunity to eco-inspect the area and record interventions on the archeological site.
