Recycling what doesn’t seem recyclable
The EcoFans Juniors took it upon themselves to educate the neighborhood on recycling items that are too large or peculiar for the recycling bins.
The EcoFans Juniors took it upon themselves to educate the neighborhood on recycling items that are too large or peculiar for the recycling bins mapped out in a previous Club's activity. The day started with a short briefing, during which the Three R’s were further explored. The EcoFans brainstormed on how to the Three R’s can be applied to cars, engine oil, electrical appliances, clothes etc. Next, the young environmentalists distributed a pamphlet to the neighborhood with information on where and how such items can be recycled, reused, or reduced. The people in the area received this well. In fact, staff at an electronics store congratulated the Juniors since they didn’t know were to send their customers who wished to recycle old appliances!
