Cambridge English Examinations Regulations for Candidates 2018

Before candidates take a Cambridge English examination, they must read carefully the

Candidates who have questions on the regulations, should contact the Hellenic American Union Center for Examinations and Certifications. The full regulations, which set out candidates’ rights and obligations, are in the Regulations booklet available from the Hellenic American Union Center for Examinations and Certifications or at http://www.cambridgeenglish.org.

Mandatory Test Day Photography

All candidates participating in the paper-based and/or computer-based C1 Advanced (CAE) and C2 Proficiency (CPE) examinations are required to have a passport-style photograph taken on the day of the speaking or written test.

This regulation is an additional security feature of Cambridge Assessment English and is compulsory for CAE and CPE candidates.

Passport-style photographs will be taken by Hellenic American Union staff using special software. All photograph files will be encrypted and all local copies of the encrypted files will be deleted once transferred to the secure Cambridge Results Verification Service website. This service enables candidates to control who can access their results and view their photos; candidates can provide their unique ID Number and Secret Number to universities, employers and other organizations for verification purposes. Candidates who are 18 or over 18 years of age or candidates’ parents or legal guardians in case they are 17 or under 17 years of age need to read the information provided, complete and sign the Test Day Photo Consent Form, and submit it to the Hellenic American Union at least 10 days before the date of the written test administration.
