Visit to the new Acropolis museum
On Tuesday, 28 July 2009, all our students visited the new Acropolis museum and appreciated its collections of artifacts from the Archaic, Classical, and Roman periods.
Everyone was particularly impressed by the museum atmosphere, the natural lighting, and the views of the excavations through the glass floors. With the Acropolis rock as a background, our students got a full view of the Parthenon sculptures as they used to be on the ancient building and appreciated the beautiful Caryatids up close.
Αt the museum café with an Acropolis view, our students talked about their impressions of the visit as well as their summer plans and promised to see each other at the Hellenic American Union in September.
