How to make Operational Risk value added today

The aim of this virtual seminar is to examine the impact of Covid on operational risk in financial services, the lessons learned and how key mitigation techniques will change. The seminar will highlight both the short- and long-term impacts of the pandemic and the lessons already learned. Finally the course will examine the future challenges once the pandemic is over particularly focusing on the operational

Objectives
  • Understand the major operational risk challenges given the current Covid-19 environment and how will change in the post pandemic world
  • Detail mitigation techniques to reduce the likelihood and impact of operational risks
  • Analyze scenarios and how to make them relevant given the Covid-19 restrictions
  • Review industry sound practice for risk control self-assessments and understand what changes will be needed
Delivery

The course will be delivered via ZOOM system in 4 three-hour sessions (5:30pm – 8:30pm). Delivery will use a collaborative method focusing on discussions and exercises which will be led by an experienced facilitator. Delegates will only need access to the internet, to a web cam and PC/laptop microphone.

In cooperation with Banking Risk Training (BTR), a niche risk training and consultancy company, we offer courses in risk management designed to help participants gain an overview of the field, advance their knowledge and have access to tools that can be implemented in their day-to-day tasks.
