O Primavera
A musical tribute for spring with the Athens Mixed Municipal Choir will take place at the Hellenic American Union Theater (Massalias 22, Athens) featuring Thanos Margetis at the piano and conducted by Stavros Beris. A melodic farewell to Spring just before the start of Summer. Inspired by Claudio Monteverdi's (~1567–1643) piece of the same title, the concert “O Primavera” commemorates nature’s spring renaissance that follows winter frost.
The event, which will take place on Monday, May 14, 2018, at 20:00, is organized by the Bachelor of Music Program (BM) of Hellenic American College (HAEC) in cooperation with Hellenic American University (Nashua, NH, USA) and The City of Athens Culture, Youth and Sports Organization (OPANDA).
