My Revolution Diaries
An exhibition with documentary photography by young Egyptian artists from the recent demonstrations in Egypt. The event has been organized in cooperation with the Bibliotheca Alexandrina Arts Center…

The Hellenic American Union, in cooperation with the Bibliotheca Alexandrina Arts Center, presents the photography exhibition My Revolution Diaries.
In the eighteen days that elapsed from the “Day of Revolt” on January 25th until February 11, 2011, the world watched as tens of thousands of Egyptians gathered in Cairo’s Tachrir Square and in other Egyptian cities to protest against the difficult conditions prevailing in their country. These demonstrations, which were unprecedented in the history of the country and which the Egyptians themselves lived and have termed a revolution, led to the downfall of the thirty-year regime. Young Egyptians, including many artists, were at the forefront of the demonstrations.
The exhibition My Revolution Diaries, presented for the first time outside Egypt, hosts photographs that document the events before, during and after the protests in Egypt. Forty-three young Egyptian artists capture Egypt’s historical demonstrations as they experienced them.
