Lecture in English by composer, musicologist and conductor, Michalis Economou and concert with works by renowned Greek composers...
The lecture focuses on the problems composers, conductors and performers face while performing new Greek works.
A concert follows with works by Greek composers: Kalomiris, Skalkotas, Hadjidakis, Theodorakis, Dragatakis, Antoniou, Kalogeras, and Makridis scored for chorus, string quintet and piano. The program includes Greek folk songs transcribed for chorus. In cooperation with Greek Composers’ Union and the Hellenic American University.
