Alexander Payne at the Hellenic American Union

In the framework of the 30th Parorama of European Cinema, the Greek American screenwriter and director Alexander Payne delivers a master class on cinematography and film directing. The event will be held in English with consecutive interpretation into Greek.

Alexander Payne was born in Nebraska, in 1961. He wrote and directed his first full-length film entitled “Citizen Ruth" in 1996. He continued his cinema career with the films “Election" (1999), “About Schmidt” (2002), “Sideways” (2004), “The Descendants” (2011), “Nebraska” (2013) and “Downsizing” (2017). Among his many achievements, he is a two-time winner of the Academy Award for Best Adapted Screenplay.
