Poetic encounters: “Words (can) do it”
"An element so persistent and disruptive" – Αn exploration of contemporary Greek poetry with Orfeas Apergis...

Poet and literary critic Orfeas Apergis takes us on a personal journey through contemporary Greek poetry from the 19th to the 21st century, selecting, reading and commenting on works by poets from Solomos and Kalvos onwards.
The event pairs the 10th anniversary of "Words (can) do it)" with a celebration, albeit indirect through poetry, of the bicentennial of the Greek War of Independence.
The reading will premiere on Wednesday, November 18, 2020 at 19:30 on the Hellenic American Union YouTube channel, Facebook page and the You Tube channel of Words (can) do it.
