Poetic encounters: “Words (can) do it”
“The savory essence of language: Verses beyond books" – Αn exploration of contemporary Greek poetry with Dimitra Kotoula...

The series of poetic encounters "Words (can) do it", in its February event, revisits works in the canon of contemporary Greek poetry. Poet Dimitra Kotoula, selects, reads and comments on poems that form part of her own personal “canon".
The event continues the pairing of the 10th anniversary of "Words (can) do it" with a celebration, albeit indirect through poetry, of the bicentennial of the Greek War of Independence. In this case, Dimitra Kotoula shares a very personal journey in contemporary Greek poetry from the 19th to the 21st century. She presents lesser known works of the “major” poets but also brings to light hidden gems of less popular poets.
The reading will premiere on Monday February 15, 2021 at 19:30 on the Hellenic American Union YouTube channel, Facebook page and the You Tube channel of Words (can) do it.
