Students Celebrate Halloween at the HAU Library
Students from three different classes celebrated Halloween at the American Corner of the Hellenic American Union Library.

Our Adol. B, C and Pre-ECCE classes visited the American Corner in our library on November 4th to celebrate Halloween.
The children found information relating to the celebration of Halloween the week before from sources in our library and the Internet. During the event, a few days after Halloween, they presented the origins and customs of Halloween to their classmates and also talked about the costumes worn and the games and activities played on that day.
Our Pre-ECCE class chose to perform a scary play, Halloween Story: The Man with the Knife, which they had written and directed themselves.
Afterwards, one of our librarians read the children a scary story.
As a follow-up activity, the students made crafts: jack-o’-lanterns cut out of orange-colored paper.
We would like to thank our librarians, our teachers and, last but not least, our students for their hard work before and during this successful educational event.
