Parsons Thomas

Thomas holds a BA Honors in Humanities and Social Studies from Anglia Ruskin University, Cambridge, England. He has also taught Economics at various private universities in Athens. Thomas also hold a Professional Diploma in International Trade from the Institute of Export in the UK.
Thomas has been working as an English Language Teacher since 1992, dealing with all CEFR levels, from A1 up to C2. He has been working at the HAU since 2012 as an Educational Development Consultant and EFL teacher and examiner. Thomas currently works in the Academic English Department at HAEC, teaching English to international students, and is also responsible for teaching GMAT, GRE and adult classes in the Hellenic American Union English Language Program.
He has played a significant role in various teaching projects carried out by the Center for Applied Linguistic and Language Studies. He has been a TESOL Greece Executive Board member and is an Examiner for the University of Cambridge and the University of Michigan, and Hellenic American University. To further his interest in teaching, Tom is about to attend the Master of Arts in Applied Linguistics program offered by Hellenic American University.
He enjoys attending seminars and conferences around Greece and Europe that highlight the latest methods and trends in EFL education. A particular passion of his is testing and effective communication through technology, and he is involved in the English language Blackboard e-learning platform. He is a firm believer in online English courses and conducts lessons through the Talk to the Expert e-tutoring courses available at the HAU.
