The EcoFans in the Secret Worlds of Eugene Trivizas

Creating and telling tales in class after visiting the Secret Worlds...

Live oral storytelling will never go out of style despite technological advances. Storytelling is an effective way of teaching because it motivates students to build meaning by using both the oral input and their own background knowledge. Therefore, storytelling is an act of co-creation. The teller transmits the elements of the images, but the listeners create the pictures in their own minds. When storytelling turns Green, it becomes a powerful tool to make young students aware of existing environmental issues.
After visiting the Secret Worlds of the famous Greek children’s books writer Eugene Trivizas, the EcoFans created their own stories on the environment and the issues it is facing and they presented them in class.
