Doriana holds a B.A. in English Studies (honors degree) and an M.A. in Applied Linguistics from the Faculty of English Language and Literature, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. The title of her dissertation is “Integrating Preparation for the A level KPG Exams in the ‘all day’ school programme: A Proposal for an Exam Preparation Syllabus”.
Doriana has been teaching English since 2004 and has been a language school owner for 6 years. She has also worked as a research assistant in the Research Centre in English Language Teaching, Testing and Assessment (RCeL), National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. In this context, Doriana has been a member of the English for Young Learners Project team (also known as PEAP) and has participated in its teacher training programme, website and journal development, as well as the design of educational material for the students’ parents.
Doriana has written several articles concerning language assessment, learning difficulties, parents’ attitudes towards language learning and young learners and her work has been presented in international conferences.
Her research interests include testing and assessment, test-taking strategies, syllabus design, materials development and teaching young learners.
