Maria holds a B.A. (summa cum laude) in English Language and Literature from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. She also holds an M.A. (summa cum laude) in Forensic Linguistics from Cardiff University.

Maria teaches adults and adolescents. She frequently uses debate and role playing as a means of helping her students improve their communication skills.

She has also been involved in translation and editing.
