Dr. Katsagounos has twenty-five years of experience in personnel development, team building, and operational capacity enhancement, and is a fervid advocate of the “lateral thinking” approach in all aspects of the decision-making process. His domains of expertise are Project/Portfolio Management, Risk Management, and Strategic Management by Objectives, with a special focus on EU Funded Projects.

He has delivered numerous trainings/consultations in the area of the Management of EU-funded projects through the use of the PM2 methodology. Given the nature of these types of projects, a special focus was always given in the areas of Quality Management and Performance Management through the use of carefully selected performance metrics.

He has been involved in both international and national high-impact projects providing his services as a consultant in the fields of Project/Portfolio Management, Risk Management, and Strategic Management by Objectives.

Having worked in various positions in the wider public sector, in EU Institutions, as well as in the private sector, he has managed to acquire a global view of their functioning and needs and use it for the development of tailored-made consulting services.

He holds a master’s degree in techno-economic systems and a Ph.D. diploma in Economics and Risk Management and has achieved multiple certifications in Project and Risk Management Professional (PM2, PMP, RMP, M_o_R) with deep knowledge on the use of Project Management Information Systems (MS Project, OpenProject, Project Libre, Asana, etc.) He is fluent in Greek (native language), English (Full professional proficiency), and French (Professional working proficiency).
