The annual series of lectures by the renowned theoretician of photography, Platon Rivellis, continues for the 17th consecutive year.
This year, the theme of the lectures is joy.
During the lectures, which take place online, Platon Rivellis will use excerpts from films by famous directors and examples of work by renowned photographers as well as by members of the “Photography Circle” to analyze the notion of “joy” and provide a starting point for further exploring their oeuvre.
Platon Rivellis notes:
"Why shouldn't joy be the motivation for creation?
Only as long as we can define it for ourselves."
The lectures take place online through the web platform Zoom and cover a total of ten hours spanned in 5 days, beginning on Mondays October 3, 10, 17 and 24, 2022 from 19:00 to 21:00.
