Introduce Ansible
Describe Ansible concepts and install Red Hat Ansible Engine.
Deploy Ansible
Configure Ansible to manage hosts and run ad hoc Ansible commands.
Implement playbooks
Write a simple Ansible Playbook and run it to automate tasks on multiple managed hosts.
Manage variables and facts
Write playbooks that use variables to simplify management of the playbook and facts to reference information about managed hosts.
Implement task control
Manage task control, handlers, and task errors in Ansible Playbooks.
Deploy files to managed hosts
Deploy, manage, and adjust files on hosts managed by Ansible.
Manage large projects
Write playbooks that are optimized for larger, more complex projects.
Simplify playbooks with roles
Use Ansible roles to develop playbooks more quickly and to reuse Ansible code.
Troubleshoot Ansible
Troubleshoot playbooks and managed hosts.
Automate Linux administration tasks
Automate common Linux system administration tasks with Ansible.
After attending this course, you should be able to use Ansible for the purpose of automation, configuration, and management. You will be able to demonstrate these skills:
- Install and configure Ansible or Red Hat Ansible Engine on a control node.
- Create and manage inventories of managed hosts, as well as prepare them for Ansible automation.
- Run individual ad hoc automation tasks from the command line.
- Write Ansible Playbooks to consistently automate multiple tasks and apply them to managed hosts.
- Parameterize playbooks using variables and facts, and protect sensitive data with Ansible Vault.
- Write and reuse existing Ansible roles to simplify playbook creation and reuse code.
- Automate common Red Hat Enterprise Linux system administration tasks using Ansible.
Our Technology Training Center offers Red Hat courses since 2006. With our experience and our expert Certified Engineer instructors, we are the ideal place to learn Red Hat's Enterprise Linux, the most widely adopted Linux operating system in business and government today.
Structure of the Red Hat Courses
Our Red Hat courses are instructor-led in a computer lab classroom or live-online. A mixture of e-learning and computer-based laboratory exercises that will teach you the most practical and relevant Linux and open-source skill sets. Course attendance is mandatory.
We provide hands-on, live system, performance-based measurements for every module in every course. You will have to actually demonstrate and prove your competency on the o/s for every module taught. Each course has 10-12 modules. Each module contains a variety of lessons followed by live-system lab tests. Both you and your teacher will have a clear view of your competency before proceeding to the next module.
The language in all material is English, although class discussion and instructor presentations are conducted in Greek. All our instructors are Red Hat Certified Engineers with decades of experience both in teaching and the industry.
Certifications
Red Hat's Linux certifications, Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) and Red Hat Enterprise Linux Automation with Ansible (RH294) are the most valuable and respected IT industry Linux certifications today.
Our courses prepare students to successfully sit for the following exams in an Authorized Examination Center:
- The Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) certificate is granted upon passing the RHCSA Exam, a performance-based test on live equipment that measures actual competencies at system administration, including installation and configuration of a Red Hat Linux system and attaching it to a live network running network services.
- The Red Hat Enterprise Linux Automation with Ansible (RH294) certificate is granted upon passing a performance-based exam, which tests your knowledge and skill in managing multiple systems using Red Hat Ansible Engine and executing common system administration tasks across a number of systems with Ansible.
