Queer Con is back this September at the Hellenic American Union with more energy, art, and celebration than ever!
Queer Con invites you on September 12, 13, and 14, 2025, to a celebration of queer art, aesthetics, pop culture, and visibility! This year’s featured artist is acclaimed photographer, actor, and casting director Yiorgos Striftaris.
The festival will officially open on Friday, September 12 at 19:15 with a screening of Mapplethorpe: Look at the Pictures, a powerful documentary on the life and work of the controversial photographer.
At the Hellenic American Union’s Galleries and Theater, audiences will enjoy photography exhibitions, an Artists’ Alley with illustrators and creators, documentary, fiction, and animation screenings, presentations, workshops, a book fair, stand-up comedy, and drag cabaret. As in previous years, the festival will also host activist organizations and art collectives, offering visitors the chance to learn about their work and contribution.
