What is the TOEFL iBT® test?
The TOEFL iBT® test measures your ability to use and understand English at university level. It also evaluates how well you combine your listening, reading, speaking, and writing skills to perform academic tasks.

How can I register?
You can register online anytime through the ETS® official website. If you wish to be examined at the Hellenic American Union testing sites in Athens or Thessaloniki, you have to register as promptly as possible in order to secure a seat.
When do I get my results?
- Results are available online at the ETS® official website, approximately 4-8 days after your test date. Scores are mailed directly to the Universities or Colleges of your choice, unless you have canceled your scores on the test day. TOEFL iΒΤ® certification is valid for two years; after this period, it would be necessary to retake the test.
- The Hellenic American Union does not have access to, does not make public, and does not maintain any record of candidates’ results. Candidates should address any such requests to the ETS®.
How can I cancel my test?
At the end of the test session, you will be given the option to cancel your scores. It is important to know that:
- You cannot cancel your score for one section of the test.
- No refund will be made.
- There is no extra cost for score cancellation procedure.
How can I have my test rescored?
Within 30 days after your test date, you can request to have the Speaking and/or Writing section rescored. It is important to remember that:
- Only one rescoring request per administration can be submitted.
- The results of the score review process will be available online through the ETS® official website, approximately three weeks after ETS® receives your Rescoring Request Form and fee.

How you’ll get your scores and score reports
Through your ETS account
ETS® sends an email to candidates when the scores are available. Access to the scores is available through your ETS® account. The scores are valid for 2 years. Score reports are available 2 days after the results announcement through your ETS® account.
By mail
ETS® allows candidates to receive their score reports in printed format. The basic requirement is for the candidate to have submitted the relevant request to ETS® before the exam day. The time required for the postal delivery of score reports is 11-15 days after the exam date. Delivery times may vary depending on the local postal services in each country.

How can I apply?
Use this link to enter the ORFEAS online registration system. From there, follow the steps as suggested. Choose your exam, date and venue and then provide your personal details. In the last step you will be asked to pay with your card of choice. All the information you will need for the day of the exam will arrive in your inbox via email and SMS.

Can I see the status of my registration after I have applied?
Once you complete your registration you will be sent updates on the status of your application. For example, any changes to the date of the examination, if these occur, will be communicated to you via email, SMS or telephone by our support team.
