Financial Risk and Regulation

Gain a deeper appreciation of risks and their interactions

This program delivers a deep, qualitative understanding of risk management methodologies, governance structures for the management of risk in banks, and the regulatory principles outlined by the Basel Committee on Banking Supervision. Successful candidates will be better prepared to recognize potential problems associated with risk assessment, mitigation and management.

The preparation course is designed to foster financial risk management through thought leadership. It aims to develop best practices in financial risk management through the analysis of the chief risks banks and other financial institutions face. Numerous real-life case studies explain complex financial risk management concepts and provide finance and banking professionals the knowledge and understanding to ask the right questions when monitoring, measuring, and managing these risks.

To complete the program and to obtain the Financial Risk and Regulation, candidates will be required to pass a single exam that consists of 80 multiple choice questions and will last 170 minutes.

This program should be consider to be a "review class". Candidates will be expected to have studied the materials prior to the class to enable them to reach the standard required to succeed in the final exam. Materials will be distributed to candidates at least 4 weeks prior to the "review class".
