As a PMP® candidate you must meet the following academic and professional experience requirements in order to be allowed to take the test:

High school diploma, associate's degree or global equivalent

Minimum five years/60 months unique non-overlapping professional project management experience during which at least 7,500 hours were spent leading and directing project tasks (as identified in the Project Management Professional Examination Specification)

Minimum three years/36 months unique non-overlapping professional project management experience during which at least 4,500 hours were spent leading and directing project tasks (as identified in the Project Management Professional Examination Specification)

Structure and format of the PMP® exam

As soon as PMI processes your application and verifies your experience and education, you can take the test in a Prometric test center when it suits you.

The test consists of 200 multiple choice questions that must be answered within 4 hours. You are tested on  "A Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge, (PMBOK® Guide)".  

PMP® Preparation Course

We can help you pass the PMP® exam with our 24 hour intensive preparation course designed by an international group of experienced PMP project managers.   If you don’t have experience in a more systematic project management approach as described in PMBOK® Guide, or you don’t have enough PDUs to apply for the PMP®, you can also attend one of our basic project management courses.

Credential maintenance

60 professional development units are required every 3 years to keep PMP® current.

According to PMI’s CCR program you can gain PDUs from a variety of development activities such as attending training courses from Registered Education Providers, attending conferences and other project management-related events, and authoring an article or giving presentations on project management.  Check the PMI’s CCR Credential Handbook for more information.
