Research & Conferences
The Hellenic American Union contributes to advancing knowledge in fields relevant to its mission and activities, particularly in applied linguistics and language studies but also in arts management, information technology and project management. It does this in a number of ways, from holding open lectures by experts, delivering free training workshops to thousands of teachers throughout Greece and conducting research projects in teaching and testing, either on its own or in the context of European Union and other international programs.
In recent years the Hellenic American Union has also taken a leading role in presenting key developments in fields such as testing, information security, project management and translation by organizing international conferences. In many instances, these Conferences have been the first time that so many international speakers have gathered in Athens to explore the themes addressed in the conference, such as the ones in University Assessment and Academic Writing Centers.
