The event includes a lecture by and conversation with the composer-musicologist Anargyros Deniozos, as well as a first performance of Adamis’ work Anavasma (2006) for soprano and alto saxophone played by Thanassis Zervas.One of the most distinguished figures of music in Greece, Michalis Adamis is recognised throughout the world as the innovative composer who developed a contemporary musical idiom based on Greek tradition, thus creating a new school of thought. To date, he has composed over three hundred works for orchestras, instrumental works and vocal groups, using electronic and other media, as well as music for the church, theatre and television.
