The Modern Greek-English Dictionary is a landmark work in the annals of Modern Greek lexicography. It has made a significant contribution to the Greek language, since in its contents one can discern the evolution of Greek literature from the 18th century onwards. The first volume has been honored as a 2006 Outstanding Academic Title by Choice magazine. The dictionary, published by Aristide D. Caratzas is presented by: Chris Spirou (President of the Hellenic American Union), Christina Bassea (Acting Director of the Research Centre for Modern Greek Dialects, Academy of Athens) and Christoforos Charalambakis (Professor of Linguistics, School of Philosophy at the National & Kapodistrian University of Athens).
