In her lecture entitled “From Mozart to Today” Korinna Latelis focuses on the 18th and 19th century music theater and explores its influence on the popular music (mega)show of the 20th century. A concert follows with duets and arias from operas, operettas and musicals, by: Artemis Bogri (soprano), Charis Andrianos (baritone) and Tina Orfanou (piano). They perform works by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Gioachino Rossini, Andrew Lloyd Webber, Cole Porter, Mitchell Leigh, Robert Sherman, Nikos Chatziapostolou and Theofrastos Sakellaridis.
The event has been organized in cooperation of the Greek Composers’ Union and the Hellenic American University.
