Tell-Tale Hearts: The (Un)told Stories of Edgar Allan Poe
Theatrical performance by the Bald Theatre of the School of English Language and Literature at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, adapted and directed by Avra Sidiropoulou...
In the Bald Theatre’s show Tell-Tale Hearts, the novels of the great American writer and poet Edgar Allan Poe acquire dramatic form, where mystery and terror alternate with irony and play, drawing viewers into a personal experience through which they discover the darkest, and most human aspects of their own nature. Intentionally interpreted in English, to bring out the best scenic magic and momentum of Poe’s language, the show attempts to expose the most inner aspects of human existence, which unfold through familiar stories, such as the Fall of the House of Usher, The Cask of Amontillado, The Oval Portrait and the Tell-Tale Heart.
