Drawing on the theatrical performance of “Lathrepiskeptes” by the first-time author Yiannos Contrafouris, a group of artists transforms the Hellenic American Union’s foyer and auditorium into “Dream Landscapes”...
Dreams are a natural human process. We all have dreams -with our eyes open or shut- even if we have no recollection of them. We can all create or view our dreams. This November the Hellenic American Union hosts a triple artistic event: Dream Landscapes.
Before the beginning of the performance, the public is greeted by the first dream landscape in the foyer of the Hellenic American Union. Sounds, images, flavors that figure in our dreams offer stimulus to the public. On the theater stage, i.e. the second dream landscape, the story of a family unfolds before our eyes: their memories and dreams. Finally, back in the foyer, which has been transformed into the third, and last, dream landscape, viewers have the opportunity to complete their own course, to compose their own mosaic of senses and experiences, their own dream.
