Poetic encounters: “Words (can) do it”
In this event two poets of different generations, Dimitris Houliarakis and Dimitra Kotoula, will read their own poems, old and new, published and unpublished, but also some of their favorite works by other poets. An open discussion with the audience will follow the reading.
Dimitris Houliarakis’ first poetic collection, In praise of nipples and beaks, was published in 1983. Since then, he has published five more poetic collections; his most recent poetry collection, entitled Unapologetic at the swings in high noon, was published in 2014. Dimitra Kotoula’s first poetic collection, entitled Three notes for a music was published in 2004.
