Exhibition of the American photographer, with approximately 80 photographs belonging to three significant bodies of work: Brooklyn Gang, Subway, Central Park...
All three subjects of the exhibition are linked to New York City, the photographer’s home. The first refers to the life of a “gang” of youngsters from a poor Brooklyn neighbourhood. Τhe second depicts life on the New York subway, and the third explores Central Park. Naturally this is not simply a random selection of three subjects from Bruce Davidson’s complete works. The three subjects emphasize his most noteworthy and distinctive virtues: consistency and change. The photographs on show in Athens are courtesy of the Howard Greenberg Gallery in New York. Platon Rivellis and Elisabeth Plessa curate the exhibition.
