Constantine Papakonstantinou was born on the island of Kos. At the age of eighteen he moved to New York City, where he lived for twenty-four years. He studied Economics and English Literature at New York University. In 1991 he returned to Greece and now lives and works in Athens. He has written four poetry collections: “Turmoil” (2000), “On Human Condition” (2004), “Rainbow” (2006) and recently “Ambivalence” (2007). Poet Adrianne Kalfopoulou opens the poetry evening by reading from her own work.
