Keramikos archeological site
On Saturday, December 18, 2010, the EcoFans Club visited the archeological site of Keramikos in its continuing exploration of ancient monuments, their natural settings and the rivers of Athens.
On Saturday, December 18, 2010, 10 a.m. -12 p.m., the EcoFans Club members with parents and friends visited the archeological site of Keramikos. There they
- explored the site
- learned about the history of the place from antiquity to modern times
- observed and recorded plants and small animals of the area
- discovered the secrets of ancient pottery makers
The group also observed the ancient Iridanos River still flowing through the archeological site and visited the museum of Keramikos.
The event was organized with the valuable assistance of Vasiliki Orfanou, archeologist, in charge of the Keramikos Museum.
Meeting time and place: 9:30 a.m. at the entrance of the archeological site, 148 Ermou Str., next to Piraeus Str.
