MOLIEROS School

On Sunday, April 17, 2011, the Molieros School of Foreign Languages organized a field trip to the medieval village of Mesta. On the way there the group visited the picturesque villages of Armolia, Olimpi and Pirgi.

When they arrived at Mesta the children visited the church of Paleos Taxiarchis, Agia Paraskevi, and the church of Neos Taxiarchis. They admired the unique architecture of the village and were impressed with the pottery studio where they made their own pieces. They also saw various types of plants in the area and were shown traditional recipes by the local people. They were told why some people left the big city to come and live in the village and discussed alternative sources of energy.

At the end of the day they visited the fish farm at the port of Mesta.
