Essay Contest winners announced
The Hellenic American Union has announced the winners of the “National Treasures” Essay Contest. The winners were selected after a Hellenic American Union Rating Committee assessed the essays of ten finalists from Aitoloakarnania, Evros, Thessaloniki, the Cyclades, and Athens who participated in the Contest’s final round in Athens last April.
The grand prize is a five-day trip for two (winner and legal guardian) to London with a special tour of the British Museum. The second prize is a noteboook whereas each of the other finalists will receive an iPod Shuffle. All Contest participants have already received their special certificates of appreciation.
The Hellenic American Union organizes Essay Contests as part of its commitment to supporting Foreign Language Schools in their efforts to provide their students with the best possible foreign-language education. Participants are Foreign Language Schools’ students who are preparing for the University of Michigan ECCE exams.
