Invitation for your students to participate in a pilot ECCE Listening test.
As part of its ongoing effort to enhance the quality of its English-language certification examinations and in light of the changes to the ECCE as of the May 2013 administration, the University of Michigan will administer a pilot ECCE Listening test. The results of the pilot test will be used to develop and improve future ECCE examinations.
Structure-content of the pilot test
The ECCE pilot listening test will last about 30 minutes - as is the case with the listening section of actual exam. It will include authentic ECCE listening items of the exact type used in the current ECCE as well as a new type of listening item that will be used in future ECCEs.
Benefits for your students
Those of your students that participate in the pilot test will be able to practice in test taking the listening test under real exam conditions and within authentic time limits. Also, you will receive a report of their performance on the Listening section. Your students’ results on the pilot exam will not be used by the University of Michigan to determine their scores on the actual December 2011 ECCE administration or any other official ECCE administration.
Registering your students
Your students’ participation in the ECCE pilot test is voluntary.
To register your students, please contact the Hellenic American Union Examinations Department at 2103680090 and 2103680955 by Wednesday, October 5, 2011.
