2012 revisions to the Examinations for the Certificate of Attainment in Greek examination modules.
The Centre for the Greek Language has announced revisions to the Examinations for the Certificate of Attainment in Greek examination modules. Revisions affect all levels of competency and will take effect as of 2012.
The most important revisions are the following:
- Reduction of the number of tasks in the receptive skills for levels A1 through B1 and corresponding readjustment of the distribution of marking scores per task and of the length of individual texts.
- Replacement of the task "Choosing the right answer" with the task "Identify right or wrong" in the Reading Comprehension paper for levels A1 (for children 8 to 12), A1 (for adolescents and adults), and B1.
- Modification of the test time allocated for the Reading Comprehension paper for levels A2, to C2, the Listening Comprehension paper for level A1 (for children and adolescents/adults), the Writing paper for all levels and the Use of Language for levels C1 and C2.
To familiarize teachers and test takers with the revisions, the Centre for the Greek Language has made samples of the revised test items available on its website. The material is also available on the Hellenic American Union’s ORFEAS online platform.
