Pilot Recording of ECPE Speaking Tests
As part of its continued efforts to enhance the quality of its English-language certification examinations, and in light of the introduction of the new ECPE Speaking Test, the University of Michigan English Language Institute (ELI-UM) has asked the Hellenic American Union to conduct a pilot program to record a sample of the ECPE Speaking Tests for this May/June 2009 test administration. The recordings will take place from June 9 – 12, 2009. The results of the pilot project will be used in assessing the quality of the speaking test administration, to the benefit of all candidates.
Foreign-language schools that wish to take part in this pilot program are asked to notify the Center for Examination Services (2103680090 & 2103680091) by Thursday, May 21, 2009. We will select schools to participate on a first-come, first-served basis using criteria solely related to facilitating the administration of the pilot program. No other evaluation criteria will be used. Participating in the pilot program assumes that candidates will consent to their speaking test being recorded.
The administrative and academic staff of the Hellenic American Union have full responsibility for the administration and recording of the speaking tests.
