2014-2015 Technology in the classroom: Learning in a new age environment
The final stage of the 2014-2015 "Technology in the classroom: Learning in a new age environment " Essay Contest was held on Saturday, April 5, 2015 at the Hellenic American Union for the finalists and their relatives and teachers.
Τhe Hellenic American Union welcomed the finalists of the 2014-2015 Essay Contest, and their relatives and teachers. After a brief welcome note, Dr. John Petropoulos, Coordinator of International Relations at the Hellenic American Union Center for Examinations and Certifications, gave a brief presentation on the concept of the Essay Contest project and on the profiles of the 2015 final round participants. Finalists and their teachers had the opportunity to share their experience with regard to their participation in the contest.
After the presentations the ten finalists took part in the final stage of the contest and wrote an essay on the following topic, prompt and task:

New technology program for schools
Local education authorities announced the completion of a pilot program for schools launched earlier this year that featured the use of technology in the classroom. The pilot program proved to be very successful and showed that technology can certainly aid learning. Now local authorities are thinking of implementing the program in all schools starting in September.

While the ten finalists were writing the final round essays, their teachers and relatives talked about various educational issues with staff of the Hellenic American Union Center for Examinations and Certifications.
The event ended with lunch for participants at the Hellenic American Union.
